When Jeni starts a typical day in the big city of Mornington Vale, California, it turns from bad to worse when she’s involved in a chain collision on her way to work.

Aiden is an up-and-coming young businessman who's ready to take on the vice presidency of his father’s company. He is the good son, and it’s imperative to Alistair that Aiden succeed and follow in his footsteps. Life for Aiden involves working hard and not much else.
After the accident, however, Aiden’s world changes as well. He finds Jeni irresistible and instantly pursues her. With some coaxing, she eventually agrees to a date, and the attraction is mutual.
Jeni finds love quickly with Aiden, but trusting him is another issue. When to trust is tested in many different ways but comes to a head when Aiden is investigated for a serious crime. As her trust issues spark, she is forced to go through a journey of self-discovery.

She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves when she’s asked the ultimate question: “Do you trust me?”

He sends her on a mission.
On a mission to destroy the Hell's Knights and the Heaven's Sinners.
Can she pretend with a club she doesn't know?
Or will she betray Hogan for the man she's falling in love with?
Contains one M/F/M scene.

OK, so after waiting for ages for Amazon to get their stuff together and publish this, alright I am being melodramatic it was only like an extra day, I finally got this hot little number on my iPad.  I have loved all three books in the series, this one was probably my least favorite, but it was still good. I would recommend it if you have already read the first two.  While the other two focused a little more on the dialog and connections, this was more sex driven.  But it was hot and well written sex I will have to admit.  In some books when an author tries to write a M/F/M scene I end up feeling like I need a white board to draw out what is happening because I don't know what is going where.  Bella nailed it.  There was no confusion, and I was not left asking myself "Did anyone wash their hands after that before starting in on something else", or "that's going to cause an infection"
Well done Miss Jewel, you have once again delivered and I can't wait to read all about the Pirates!!!

What is a Muse? A friendly reminder

The Muses Greek mythology, poetry and literature, are the goddesses of the inspiration of literature, science and the arts. They were considered the source of the knowledge, related orally for centuries in the ancient culture that was contained in poetic lyrics and myths.
The Nine Muses: Clio, Thalia, Erato, Euterpe, Polyhymnia, Calliope, Terpsichore, Urania, Melpomene

The muses are said to be the daughters of Zues, also called Nymphs at times. Some authors invoke Muses when writing poetry, hymns or epic history. The invocation typically occurs at or near the beginning, and calls for help or inspiration, or simply invites the Muse to sing through the author.

Muse can also be used to describe a) a guiding spirit or b) a source of inspiration. They are most often associated with works of poetry, or epic literature.

If you are using the term Muse to describe your hunky young cover model that can't string sentences together, please stop. Especially if said "Muse" came about AFTER the work of fiction was written. There is also no such thing as musing, or I mused this.

Truce by R.L. Mathewson

“But, she-,” he said, starting to point at his wife, but Mrs. Brown wasn’t listening.  “I told you that you could stay in the house as long as you didn’t interfere with our work,” she said firmly, still pointing towards the door. “This is my house, woman,” he bit out, deciding that the woman simply needed to be reminded, but apparently she didn’t give a damn whose house it was, because she just kept pointing as she said, “Out.” So he decided to try a different tactic, one that he hadn’t used since they were children. “She started it!”

This is my Robert and Elizabeth.  The eyes are what made me choose him, the attitude and voice made me choose Anne Hathaway.  She just seems the spunky, mischievous
type. He looks like he could get in some trouble to.

4.5 Stars
This was her first Historical novel that is a prequel to one of my favorite series "Neighbors From Hell".
For the die hard historical romance reader, this may not be deep enough in the "ton" for you, but it still pretty accurate. I have a History degree and nothing bothered me, so you should be OK.
If you have ever wanted to know why the Bradfords do the what they do, this will explain it.  The eloping, serious affection for food, and use of the word bastard.
The book starts with Jason making an anniversary present for Haley, and his father telling the story of how the tradition all began.  It had a Princess Bride feel to it, kind of fade to the 19th century.  You meet a young love-struck Elizabeth, and a bratty Robert Bradford.  Of course Elizabeth is not love-struck for Robert, so he does everything he can to embarrass and harass her, like all Bradford men.  They part ways for 14 years while Robert goes to school, and Elizabeth becomes a lady, sorta.

They meet back up at a Ball thrown during the season where Elizabeth is supposed to find a husband, or end up a spinster at the ripe old age of 24. Hilarity ensues, as well as really sweet and hot interactions. The steam component is definitely amped up in this novel.  Of course I like that.  But, who wouldn't with all those stays to untie, and bodices to rip, gets me every time.

I can't gush enough about this book, I just loved it.  There was a smile on my face throughout most of the reading.  I even laughed out loud a couple of times, which made my kids and husband look at me like I was crazy, but they are used to it by now. Perfection used to be my favorite, but now I think Truce will be my go-to re-read when I need a pick me up.

Heaven's Sinners by Bella Jewel

Bella Jewel has done it again, I devoured this book as fast as Hell's Knights.  This is the story of broken Spike and Ciara.  Spike was married to Ciara's sister, but she was killed in a bad deal with another MC. In the first book you get a taste of Spike and Ciara, but now we get the whole story.  They were best friends once upon a time.
You get all the hotness that comes with a MC alpha male. The sass of a woman who has had enough of being pushed around, and the heart melty goodness of seeing him defend his woman.  But, it is written in a new way where the men don't just grunt, and drag their woman off by her hair to his dirty biker room. You also don't get the random hooker type girls that they usually cheat with.  I just loved it.
There is still some Cade and Addi in there to keep it interesting....and a whole lot of Jackson that we didn't get to know before.
The next book will be Jackson's story, and I can not wait. Oct. 25th can't come fast enough.

As long as the next book is as good as the previous two I will forgive Miss Jewel for torturing me with that cliff hanger....bad writer...*smacks her ass

Little Bird by Liza Gaines

In his bonds, she learns to soar.

Lee Jackson is bad news for a girl like Savannah Alderton. At least, that’s what everyone keeps telling her when her boss tasks her with assisting Lee in the search for his missing ex-wife. But despite all the warnings and Lee’s overbearing attitude, she’s attracted to him from the start. Wanting more than the casual sex he readily offers, Savannah fears she is bound to get hurt. Can she take that risk?

After a dysfunctional marriage and demoralizing divorce, Lee doesn’t do relationships. Casual sex with women who don’t expect more is enough to meet his needs; especially if those women share his appetite for handcuffs and crops. Which means Savannah is all wrong for him. She isn’t his type, she’s na├»ve and inexperienced, and worst of all, she’s exactly the kind of woman who will want more than a rough tumble between his sheets. Still, Lee can’t seem to stay away and he can’t help but wonder if maybe he’s underestimated her.

As the situation with his ex-wife becomes more desperate, Lee and Savannah struggle to overcome their fears and begin to imagine a life together. Will they live long enough to see those dreams become reality?

Savannah definitely comes off as a babe in the woods type at the beginning of the book.  While Lee is a good big bad wolf.
Their relationship seems complicated even from the beginning. He is the ladies man that she is warned not to get involved with.  She is the sweet innocent that he is afraid he will ruin. You can tell he is damaged and in need of a little light in his life, and she is in need of someone to take control.  Throw in an ex-wife, sex club, and corrupt politicians and there you go.
The book took on more of a mystery vibe than a romance read.  There was lots of sex, hot sex, kinky sex, slow sex in between the mystery solving.  While it was a good book, I wish the author would have concentrated on one or the other.  The sex felt like it was thrown in just to keep it from being a mystery novel, and the mystery to keep it from being an erotic novel.  It would have done wells as a straight erotic romance.
